Philosophy
The desire of the music ministry is to uplift the name of Jesus Christ through Spirit-led, blended worship each and every Sunday. Realizing that they are singing to an audience of ONE, the prayer of the members of the music ministry is that their music will encourage the saints and be used by the Holy Spirit to prepare hearts for the preaching of the Word of God resulting in transformed lives through a personal relationship with Jesus.
Style
Each week the congregation is led in corporate worship through a blended style of music. The congregation singing is balanced between the great hymns of the faith and the new praise and worship music being written each and every year. Our central aim is bring honor and glory to the One who saves us, and it is to that end that we offer our praise.
Musical Opportunities
Sunday Morning Praise Team: This is a non-auditioned group open to anyone high school age and older. The praise team leads in worship each week and practices on Wednesday evenings. Throughout the year there may be additional rehearsals in advance of holidays and special events.
Media Ministry: This area of ministry deals with the technology of the music ministry. It includes the areas of sound and visual arts. This ministry is open to any person in high school or older who is interested in a vitally important and non-performance ministry.
Drama Ministry: On occasion, telling a story from God’s Word can be enhanced by acting it out. The Drama Ministry is open to individuals who desire to perform in non-musical roles. This includes narration and acting. Actors and narrators are selected per role on an as-needed basis.
