Children’s Ministry

“Active” is a great word used to describe our children’s ministry. The children have many opportunities during the year to grow in the basics of their faith through Bible study classes, Vacation Bible School, and AWANA throughout the school year.

Children that come through the Children’s ministry at Westside develop a great foundation for their faith! Westside offers age-specific Bible studies on Sunday morning, and our AWANA program on Wednesday nights teaches the importance of the scriptures by memorization and application. There are also great opportunities for the younger children to experience the love of God in their early stages from the Bible study teachers on Sunday morning and through children’s church during the morning worship.

Children’s Mid-Week Program

Wednesdays from 5:30-7:00pm
AWANA is one of the best known programs for children in the evangelical church. The program contains all the fun and games that many programs include but the key to AWANA is the focus on the Scriptures.  Children are challenged each week to “hide God’s word in their hearts” through study and memorization. If you would like more information about AWANA, contact the church office.

Sajido Academy!

One of the newest opportunities for children to take advantage of is the FREE Karate class offered on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 7:30 pm each week. A great way to get some exercise and build self confidence with your children. Classes start with a prayer and scripture reading.

NOTE: We care deeply about our children and their safety. Everyone who works with our children and student ministry submits to a National background check before being allowed to work in the ministry, and are rechecked on a recurring basis. .
